The Mini First Kicks, First Kicks and Fun Football Programmes are run by Coastal Spirit as part of NZ Football’s Whole of Football Framework. It is designed to assist school-age players to develop the basic soccer skills through direct coaching, fun practice and games.

Players enjoy an hours worth of games against players of similiar ages as themselves.

Players need to bring their own shorts, socks and shin pads. The club provides players with a playing shirt.

Early engagement into the game should be encouraged as it is necessary to reach excellence. This initiation phase is to allow the children to discover the game, provide for learning basic fundamental movement skills and create positive football experiences.

NEW for 2025 - seperate cost of saturday sessions

Starting Term 1 in 2025, Coastal Spirit Football Club will be hosting a Skills School for young players aged 4 to 8 years old!

These sessions are all about fun, football, and development. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young players to improve their skills, enjoy the game, and experience the Coastal Spirit way with our awesome CSFC coaches.

These sessions have 3 fun-packed training drills called Station Rotation, then they are split up to play small-sided games on mini fields.

We can’t wait to welcome your young football stars to the field. Stay tuned for more details and registration info coming soon!

When:: 12th & 19th April 9:00am-10:00am - ‘Have a Go’ sessions

From 27th April First Kicks and Fun Football will run from 9:00am-10:00am - player registrations required

Registration fees have been confirmed for 2024 as per below

Mini First Kicks – 3 – 4 year olds  $75.00

First Kicks –  5 – 6 year olds $75.00

Fun Football – 7 – 8 year olds $110.00

Registrations for mini kicks, first kicks or fun football will open early in 2025.

Registration fee for 2025 Wednesday session

The skill school is at a separate cost of the Saturday sessions. 8 sessions in term one starting in 26/2/25 - 2/4/25

Term 1 - $15 for 6 weeks ($2.5 per session)

When: Wednesdays, starting Term 1, 2025 - 26/2/25 - 2/4/25
Who: Players aged 4-8 years old
Why: To learn, grow, and most importantly—have FUN!
