2021 Chatham Cup - Round 3
This Friday night we continue our Chatham Cup run against the strongest opponent we have faced so far in Christchurch United , having beaten Waimak 3-0 in the first round, followed by Burwood 8-0 in round two.
The 2021 Chatham Cup (known as the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup for sponsorship reasons) is New Zealand's 94th annual knockout football competition.
The competition returns for 2021 after being cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19. It will have a preliminary round and four rounds proper before quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final.

The first round match away in Kaiapoi ended in a convincing 3-0 scoreline, last round versus Burwood we found some goal scoring form in what was a bit of a redemption from the English cup loss to them in penalties.
Ekow will be happy with the way that everyone contributed against Burwood , and despite some initial pressure the team managed to dominate most of the possession, create lots of chances and come away with an 8-0 win.
Round Three
Christchurch United will be a good test for us. So far they have beaten FC Twenty 11 2-0 in the first round followed by a 3-0 win vs Ferrymead Bays.
Christchurch have been confirmed a place in the Southern League and have some good league form. We are bouncing back from a tough away fixture at Tullet Park last weekend and will relish the Friday night football under lights at a great facility .
Hopefully all the Coastal supporters will be there and give the team the boost to get through to the next round.
